“Flex Your Head” is a seminal 1982 compilation album released by Dischord Records, showcasing the early Washington, D.C. hardcore punk scene. It features tracks from 11 bands, including Teen Idles, SOA, Minor Threat, Government Issue, and Void. The album served as a debut or sophomore release for most of the bands and documented the burgeoning D.C. punk scene. The compilation’s title comes from the Minor Threat song, “12XU”.
